Their story:
Ryan Atwood was the misunderstood boy from Chino and Marissa Cooper was the misunderstood girl from Newport but with each other there were never any misunderstandings. She saw that he wasn’t a bad boy but a boy who lived a broken life with a broken family. He saw that beneath her beautiful exterior and that perfect smile, she was just as broken as his life was. They felt the importance of this connection and so did we. This was the beginning of a beautiful love story. It may have been a turbulent journey but even their darkest moments you could never really question their love for each other. Even after those episodes with no scenes, all you needed was a mention or a small exchange of looks to be reminded that these two people were very much in love with each other and sure enough they found their way back to each other. We believed in them. We believed they would find their way back to each other, always. Despite Marissa having met an unfortunate and indisputably tragic end, Ryan and Marissa haven’t necessarily met their end; Ryan continues to love her and as long as he continues to love, their love continues.
